Imaginary Lane is an Academy Award®-nominated production company founded by Brendan Bellomo and Aniela Sidorska. Their debut feature documentary, Porcelain War, won the 2024 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize for U.S. Documentary and went on to be honored with the 2025 Directors Guild of America Award, 2025 Producers Guild of America nomination, 2025 DuPont-Columbia Award, 2025 American Society of Cinematographers nomination, Cinema Eye Audience Award, among others.

MEET THE TEAM

Brendan Bellomo
DIRECTOR, WRITER
Academy Award® nominated director of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winner and DGA Award winner for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary, Porcelain War. Brendan is an NYU alumnus who won the Student Academy Award for his narrative thesis and went on to VFX supervise the Sundance winner and Oscar nominee Beasts of the Southern Wild.
He is also the Executive Producer of CHUPA, which went to TOP 10 on Netflix in 2023, and the founding partner at InviziPro, a leading film technology company based in Los Angeles.

Aniela Sidorska
PRODUCER, WRITER
Academy Award® nominated producer of the 2024 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner Porcelain War. The film went on to win the 2025 DGA Award and was nominated for the Producers Guild of America and the American Society of Cinematographers awards. Aniela is a member of the PGA, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and winner of the 2025 Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards for excellence in broadcast journalism.
Most recently, Aniela Executive Produced the feature documentary WHISTLE, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
